Deportivo Santa Monica's Dalmacio Medina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Bernal in the 17th minute of play. Dalmacio Medina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Suarez in the 19th minute of play. Geronimo Brun scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dalmacio Medina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 27 minutes into the game, Florencio Illan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Santa Monica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hurlingham the free kick. After 27 played minutes Deportivo Santa Monica got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Illan. In the 28th minute Paolo Suarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmacio Medina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Deportivo Santa Monica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florencio Illan to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Saverio Quiroga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hurlingham's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Quiroga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmacio Medina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th match minute, Hurlingham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Benitez to maneuver through the defense. After 35 minutes, Narciso Bernal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hurlingham and the Deportivo Santa Monica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Narciso Bernal hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Hurlingham's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Crescencio came free, but Camilo Loramendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Camilo Loramendi managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Deportivo Santa Monica's Jonatan Crescencio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Geronimo Brun scored 1-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dalmacio Medina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonatan Crescencio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jonatan Crescencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Feliberto Karmel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Jonatan Crescencio notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Hurlingham's Camilo Loramendi. Camilo Loramendi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Deportivo Santa Monica's Dalmacio Medina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Benitez in the 68th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Narciso Bernal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dalmacio Medina. Deportivo Santa Monica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Narciso Bernal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Suarez in the 75th minute of play forced Deportivo Santa Monica's goalkeeper Dalmacio Medina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Jonatan Crescencio sped through Hurlingham's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Camilo Loramendi. Jonatan Crescencio struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Camilo Loramendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Santa Monica. The Deportivo Santa Monica fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Deportivo Santa Monica's Jonatan Crescencio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Deportivo Santa Monica's Jonatan Crescencio got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carmelo Benitez charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmelo Benitez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carmelo Benitez hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Dalmacio Medina was a little too slow when Narciso Bernal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 5-4. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Deportivo Santa Monica fully deserved thier win.
