The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Ferro Carril Oeste's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Marz came free, but Matias Bermund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Esteban Gurutz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ferro Carril Oeste's Matias Bermund. Matias Bermund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8thth minute of the game Jonas Marz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ferro Carril Oeste's Matias Bermund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Esteban Gurutz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Matias Bermund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Marz in the 10th minute of play forced Ferro Carril Oeste's goalkeeper Matias Bermund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Marz struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Matias Bermund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for talleres re. But to his dismay, Amado Iyan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ferro Carril Oeste! The referee gave talleres re a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pablo Nel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ferro Carril Oeste's Matias Bermund. 1-3. Feliberto Heriberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Jonas Marz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matias Bermund was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. When Basilio Aznar fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferro Carril Oeste's protests and gave Basilio Aznar a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes Ferro Carril Oeste got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Aznar. In the 48thth minute of the game Esteban Gurutz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ferro Carril Oeste's Matias Bermund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardino Jaunzuria was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Ferro Carril Oeste's goalkeeper Matias Bermund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonas Marz. The supporters of talleres re booed when Ferro Carril Oeste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Urbez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 55th minute, when talleres re's Pablo Nel after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Matias Bermund in Ferro Carril Oeste's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Jonas Marz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of talleres re booed when Ferro Carril Oeste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Clodio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, talleres re's Jonas Marz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matias Bermund. Matias Bermund yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Jairo Fertus was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 66 minutes into the match. The referee gave Ferro Carril Oeste a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Diego Cuarto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of talleres re's Oscar Dei. 2-4. Matias Bermund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Izotz in the 75th minute of play. If Rene Lorenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Dei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardino Jaunzuria went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. Eustacio Izotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Eustacio Izotz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Matias Bermund, passed just outside the right post. A very good chance for a goal. talleres re played a much better game than Ferro Carril Oeste and deserved their victory. The Ferro Carril Oeste players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
