After 13 minutes, Aquiles Leheren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aguilas Negras and the Club Atlético Bangsbo players grew even worse after the yellow card. 14 minutes into the match, Aguilas Negras's goalkeeper Teodoro Napier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Gilabert. Joaquin Farias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldo Maju read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Samuel Iturri hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The supporters of Aguilas Negras booed when Club Atlético Bangsbo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Walme didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th match minute, Aguilas Negras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Dimo to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Gilabert got free with Teodoro Napier in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aquiles Leheren hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Benedicto Izel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Bangsbo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aguilas Negras the free kick. After 40 played minutes Club Atlético Bangsbo got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Izel. After having played for 41 minutes, Joaquin Farias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguilas Negras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Farias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo Gilabert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Napier having to interfere.

Alfredo Gilabert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, Aquiles Leheren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute Nereo Salvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Napier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alfredo Gilabert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, Nereo Salvino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Teodoro Napier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 91 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Bangsbo's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Calvet came free, but Osvaldo Maju reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
