Epifanio Gaztea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teobaldo Soter's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. David Chico hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, C. A. Seis Estrellas's Iker Casado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severo Maura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amancio Basajaun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epifanio Gaztea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Teobaldo Soter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, C. A. Seis Estrellas's Santiago Tximitx got a free kick in the 86th minute. When Amancio Basajaun came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ave Fénix FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amancio Basajaun couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, C. A. Seis Estrellas's Severo Maura threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iker Casado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. C. A. Seis Estrellas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
