Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Elvio Buinton made the kick off which started today's match. After 5 minutes of play, Villa Mercedes Unido's Elvio Buinton made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godfredo Criston was left in no man's land by his defense there! Elvio Buinton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 12 played minutes, Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Anier Cibran shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Uriel Matei came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba reached it. After 16 minutes, Jairo Gorosti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba and the Villa Mercedes Unido players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Hernan Galindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fabian Neron came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Neron couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute Ariel Gau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Matei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Villa Mercedes Unido's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Gau came free, but Uriel Matei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eleuterio Aguilera kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Bonifacio Haritzeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bonifacio Haritzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bonifacio Haritzeder came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Uriel Matei could save by the left post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ariel Gau made a kick off. Uriel Matei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Gau in the 54th minute of the match. Elvio Buinton struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Godfredo Criston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Mercedes Unido. Villa Mercedes Unido's Ignacio Eder pulled a muscle in his leg after 56 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Oscar Claris fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's protests and gave Oscar Claris a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Villa Mercedes Unido booed when Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Claris didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Bonifacio Haritzeder sped through Villa Mercedes Unido's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Uriel Matei. In the 62nd minute, Jairo Gorosti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Godfredo Criston proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba from getting a goal against them. Bonifacio Haritzeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Uriel Matei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Ariel Gau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Uriel Matei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Uriel Matei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Gau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basilio Domeka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Godfredo Criston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Villa Mercedes Unido's Gogo Gaitano got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Oscar Claris was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. The supporters of Villa Mercedes Unido booed when Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Claris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Villa Mercedes Unido for a fine match.
