Felipe Jaen charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Jaen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Villa Mercedes Unido booed when Seleccionado Ruso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Jaen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uriel Matei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernesto Quintyn went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Basilio Domeka hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the game, Basilio Domeka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villa Mercedes Unido's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seleccionado Ruso the free kick. Uriel Matei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Cordarryl in the 21st minute of the match. If Gogo Gaitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uriel Matei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florencio Pagomari's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Uriel Matei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Pagomari, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Florencio Pagomari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Matei having to interfere. When Elvio Buinton came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Villa Mercedes Unido fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elvio Buinton couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Quintyn in the 42nd minute of play forced Villa Mercedes Unido's goalkeeper Uriel Matei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rosendo Cordarryl kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The Villa Mercedes Unido players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Seleccionado Ruso were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elvio Buinton was the one to do the kick off. If Ernesto Quintyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Villa Mercedes Unido's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Florencio Pagomari 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. In the 67th minute, Gogo Gaitano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villa Mercedes Unido fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florencio Pagomari in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uriel Matei saved Villa Mercedes Unido from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Mercedes Unido's zone, Ernesto Quintyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uriel Matei came out of the goal and Ernesto Quintyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernesto Quintyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ernesto Quintyn came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Seleccionado Ruso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Quintyn couldn't finish the play. If Ernesto Quintyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Florencio Pagomari came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Seleccionado Ruso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Pagomari couldn't finish the play. Uriel Matei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Quintyn in the 92nd minute. Uriel Matei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosendo Cordarryl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
