The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Francisco Beltxe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Ermegildo Terciero made a huge save. Francisco Beltxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Beltxe in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ermegildo Terciero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Nacional Football Club getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Godfredo Pitin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional Football Club's zone, Catriel Sánchez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Beturian came out of the goal and Catriel Sánchez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Nacional Football Club getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Francisco Beltxe hit a great ball. Catriel Sánchez might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaime Beturian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Catriel Sánchez ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th minute, Raul Manuelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ermegildo Terciero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Beltxe in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, A. C. Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Ermegildo Terciero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Beltxe. 25 minutes into the game, one of A. C. Buenos Aires:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ermegildo Terciero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Beltxe in the 33rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Beltxe in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermegildo Terciero saved A. C. Buenos Aires from getting behind. Ermegildo Terciero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Beltxe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Catriel Sánchez might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaime Beturian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Catriel Sánchez ran back to his position shaking his head. Francisco Beltxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 43 in the game by Francisco Beltxe from a close distance when the talented Ermegildo Terciero managed to make a qualified save. A. C. Buenos Aires's players were relieved. With his leg Ermegildo Terciero managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Nacional Football Club's Francisco Beltxe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ermegildo Terciero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Beltxe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

A. C. Buenos Aires's Ermegildo Terciero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Dunixi in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Nacional Football Club booed when A. C. Buenos Aires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Mitxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquiles Mitxel kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Francisco Beltxe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 60 minutes, Catriel Sánchez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A. C. Buenos Aires's supporters crossed their fingers, but Catriel Sánchez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ermegildo Terciero came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Nacional Football Club's Francisco Beltxe. But to his dismay, Francisco Beltxe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 67 played minutes A. C. Buenos Aires got a freekick which was hit by Raul Manuelo. Aquiles Mitxel's late challenge caught a Nacional Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquiles Mitxel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, A. C. Buenos Aires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Mitxel to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of A. C. Buenos Aires booed when Nacional Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Dunixi didn't get a good kick on the ball. A. C. Buenos Aires's Catriel Sánchez was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 80th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A collision led to Nacional Football Club getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Francisco Beltxe hit a great ball. In the 85th minute of the match Aquiles Mitxel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaime Beturian showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Francisco Beltxe put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ermegildo Terciero. In the 96th minute, Ariel Dunixi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nacional Football Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
