Higinio Frechoso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 9th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Denis Frederik. Javier Tonete hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Saldungaray's Higinio Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Frederik in the 18th minute of play. Higinio Frechoso made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Feliberto Lluis sent off a good shot on target. Higinio Frechoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Vincent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Denis Frederik made a precise shot to the right of Higinio Frechoso. Saldungaray's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Benito Guillen kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Higinio Frechoso made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Luciano Vincent sent off a good shot on target. Basilio Miliano was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 33 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Saldungaray's Basilio Miliano got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Angelo Diegotxe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cleto Tono went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Luciano Vincent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnoldo Sanson to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Piamonte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Lluis to maneuver through the defense. Higinio Frechoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Vincent in the 53rd minute of the match. Benito Guillen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnoldo Sanson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cleto Tono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arnoldo Sanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Higinio Frechoso came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Piamonte FC's Denis Frederik. But to his dismay, Denis Frederik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Denis Frederik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piamonte FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Frederik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
