Marcos Camerino in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anthoon Van Heurick, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Marcial Aimar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosario Central's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcial Aimar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anthoon Van Heurick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Defensores del Dorado getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Arsenio Txema hit a great ball. Defensores del Dorado were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Marcos Camerino made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Marciano Sendoa made a precise shot to the right of Anthoon Van Heurick. Defensores del Dorado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rosario Central's goalkeeper Rodolfo Elixio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Rosario Central's Rodolfo Elixio got control of the ball when Rafael Marz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anthoon Van Heurick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Camerino in the 59th minute of the match. Rodolfo Elixio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teodosio Bazil charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodosio Bazil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, Teodosio Bazil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle went the supporters of Defensores del Dorado were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Rosario Central side.
