To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlando Gizon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinicio Ganix struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Alejo Pereyra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Douglas Haig. In the 13th minute, Eloy Marques left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Douglas Haig fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Alejo Pereyra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Sanduru, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Dolcet Vizcarra hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. When Douglas Haig's Vinicio Ganix in 36 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jose Osoitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silvano Nevada lost his temper 52 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 53rd minute, Silvano Nevada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was a brilliant solo performance by Douglas Haig's Ernesto Donzel when he shot the ball into the net to 1-4 in the 55th minute. Alejo Pereyra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Ganix, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute.
