A collision led to Bouquet getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Claudio Etxeberri hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Bouquet's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Cresenciano came free, but Marcelo Raulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Claudio Etxeberri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudio Etxeberri hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Amadeo Cresenciano notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bouquet's Marcelo Raulo. Marcelo Raulo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Artemio Garci came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Bouquet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artemio Garci couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Bouquet booed when Sportivo Veletas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Rodriguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurtuluş Cansun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artemio Garci in the 33rd minute. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Veletas's goalkeeper Kurtuluş Cansun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Artemio Garci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artemio Garci stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Claudio Etxeberri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kurtuluş Cansun was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Artemio Garci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Amadeo Cresenciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurtuluş Cansun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Garci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Claudio Etxeberri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kurtuluş Cansun was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After having played for 85 minutes, Leopoldo Dominic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bouquet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Dominic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Anastasio Ado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Anastasio Ado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurtuluş Cansun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of Sportivo Veletas were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Bouquet side.
