With a little luck, Garuhapé AFC's Gaston Henric got control of the ball when Serafin Loreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafin Loreto got free with Gaston Henric in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Filomeno Lidon came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Garuhapé AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filomeno Lidon couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Filomeno Lidon made the kick off in the second half. If Filomeno Lidon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Lidon in the 54th minute of play forced Domínguez's goalkeeper Froilan Gil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafin Loreto in the 78th minute of play forced Garuhapé AFC's goalkeeper Gaston Henric to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafin Loreto in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaston Henric prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Froilan Gil was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Ruben Tonio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ruben Tonio really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
