Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Robustiano Rodas made the kick off which started today's match. Andres Videl took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerardo Laffitte. Gerardo Laffitte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Saavedra FC's Angel Bonadona got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Robustiano Rodas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Angelo Eyague hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 21 minutes, Robustiano Rodas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tartagal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robustiano Rodas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robustiano Rodas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Apolo Cutberto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gerardo Laffitte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Videl in the 23rd minute of play. Tartagal's Robustiano Rodas got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tartagal's Gerardo Laffitte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Eyague in the 44th minute of play. The Tartagal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Saavedra FC were winning 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angel Bonadona made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Tartagal's Eulalio Indalecio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Apolo Cutberto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Hipolito Nastasio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Cutberto having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Angel Bonadona lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Gerardo Laffitte. Gerardo Laffitte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andres Videl in the 66th minute. In the 68th match minute, Saavedra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Piorno to maneuver through the defense. Gerardo Laffitte was a little too slow when Andres Videl got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 1-4. With a little luck, Tartagal's Gerardo Laffitte got control of the ball when Angel Bonadona tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Saavedra FC's zone, Hipolito Nastasio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Cutberto came out of the goal and Hipolito Nastasio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 89 minutes into the game, when Virgilio Martxelin put in a rough tackle. In the 90th match minute, Tartagal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Martxelin to maneuver through the defense. Abel Azevedo, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Saavedra FC's Angel Bonadona got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Saavedra FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
