Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ezpeleta FC's Eliseo Opilano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leonardo Maju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Menendo in the 3rd minute of play. With a little luck, Ezpeleta FC's Leonardo Maju got control of the ball when Arnoldo Montel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliseo Opilano took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Urki. Marcelo Urki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 11th minute, Marcos Menendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Eliseo Opilano made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Urki. Garibaldi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Adan Virila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Ezpeleta FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arnoldo Montel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garibaldi FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Urki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ezpeleta FC's Eliseo Opilano got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcos Matthew's late challenge caught a Ezpeleta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Matthew helped the player get up and apologised. After 33 played minutes Garibaldi FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Matthew. When Agustin Guillelme fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ezpeleta FC's protests and gave Agustin Guillelme a yellow card for diving instead. Ezpeleta FC's Leonardo Maju proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Ezpeleta FC from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the match, Ezpeleta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Menendo came free, but Leonardo Maju reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garibaldi FC's Marcos Menendo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcos Menendo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Leonardo Maju when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 47 minutes into the match, Ezpeleta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Menendo came free, but Leonardo Maju reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Marcos Menendo made the kick off in the second half. After 50 minutes, Marcial Guzman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ezpeleta FC and the Garibaldi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, Marcial Guzman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garibaldi FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Urki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Adan Virila made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Urki. Garibaldi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. When Garibaldi FC's Arnoldo Montel in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ezpeleta FC's goalie prevented a goal. Marcos Menendo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the game, Norberto Olo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garibaldi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ezpeleta FC the free kick. Leonardo Maju showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Montel, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ezpeleta FC's zone, Marcos Menendo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Maju came out of the goal and Marcos Menendo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonardo Maju showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Montel in the 76th minute of the match. Eliseo Opilano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Norberto Olo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Menendo in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Maju saved Ezpeleta FC from getting behind. Arnoldo Montel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leonardo Maju took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Menendo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustin Guillelme was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Ezpeleta FC's Agustin Guillelme got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 97thth minute of the game Marcos Menendo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ezpeleta FC's Leonardo Maju was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Ezpeleta FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ezpeleta FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
