Jonathan Oalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Perfecto in the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Ariel Videl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merlo fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laguneros S.D the free kick. Ariel Videl kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Ciro Jusepe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Ruben Abarca made a huge save. In the 25th minute Atilano Tonio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Abarca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Merlo fc getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Gerardo Goizeder hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Jose Bernaldo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Merlo fc's Jonathan Oalo didn't even have to move. Feliciano Perfecto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jonathan Oalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 played minutes Merlo fc got a freekick which was hit by Atilano Tonio. After 35 minutes, Francisco Azeari mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merlo fc and the Laguneros S.D players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ciro Jusepe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Abarca having to interfere. If Feliciano Perfecto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Pedro Celino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Atilano Tonio made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Ciro Jusepe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Abarca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruben Abarca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Tonio, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 62nd match minute, Laguneros S.D was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cayetano Salvidor to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute Ciro Jusepe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Abarca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute Victorino Bartoleme suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Benigno Abaurre charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benigno Abaurre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th match minute, Merlo fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Abaurre to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Jusepe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ruben Abarca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Atilano Tonio in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruben Abarca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cayetano Salvidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Celino might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Oalo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Celino ran back to his position shaking his head. Atilano Tonio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Abarca having to interfere. Laguneros S.D's Ruben Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Tonio in the 94th minute of play. Merlo fc's Ciro Jusepe got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
