Gabriel Tirso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artemio Duarte's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Gabriel Tirso didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Team XII's Artemio Duarte shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. ateneo.f.c.'s Gabriel Tirso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Calvino in the 22nd minute of play. Filiberto Eladio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Bartolome having to interfere. Geronimo Poncio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gabriel Tirso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 50 played minutes ateneo.f.c. got a freekick which was hit by Matias Ipar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Filiberto Eladio made the kick off in the second half. Abelardo Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artemio Duarte in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gabriel Tirso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Team XII's Abelardo Calvino got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to ateneo.f.c. getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Matias Ipar hit a great ball. The supporters of Team XII booed when ateneo.f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Thomas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Artemio Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute of the match, Artemio Duarte tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gabriel Tirso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Abelardo Calvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gabriel Tirso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artemio Duarte's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Gabriel Tirso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 94th minute Abelardo Calvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Tirso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Team XII could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ateneo.f.c. throughout the match.
