After a defensive mix-up in CERRO TORRE's zone, Victoriano Chepe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Mederi came out of the goal and Victoriano Chepe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauricio Abad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Mederi having to interfere. Mauricio Abad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Leandro Mederi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Mauricio Abad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barreto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Abad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to CERRO TORRE getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bartolo Gentza hit a great ball. Victoriano Chepe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, CERRO TORRE's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Abad came free, but Leandro Mederi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 played minutes Barreto got a freekick which was hit by Jose Shepherd. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victoriano Chepe in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leandro Mederi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st match minute, CERRO TORRE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulgencio Gomesano to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Godfredo Goi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CERRO TORRE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Kelemen was the one to do the kick off. Benito Goren kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. CERRO TORRE's Leandro Mederi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Abad in the 53rd minute of play. If Victoriano Chepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Goren charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Leandro Mederi didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Barreto's Victoriano Chepe shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Mauricio Abad had several of the CERRO TORRE's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 67 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Leandro Mederi as he didn't even see the shot coming. Barreto's Dalmacio Cisco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Goi in the 77th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mauricio Abad kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leandro Mederi. That made the score 1-3 in the 82 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Victoriano Chepe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barreto's supporters rose to their feet, but Victoriano Chepe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Mederi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mauricio Abad struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. The CERRO TORRE fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Barreto were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
