After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Quebracho FC's zone, Dalmacio Giraldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Thornberg came out of the goal and Dalmacio Giraldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Sportivo Quebracho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmacio Giraldo came free, but Arne Thornberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arne Thornberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmacio Giraldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Derby FC's Salvador Gorbea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Derby FC from getting a goal against them. Arne Thornberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Roldan, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 35thth minute of the game Dalmacio Giraldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sportivo Quebracho FC's Arne Thornberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sportivo Quebracho FC's Arne Thornberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Giraldo in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmacio Giraldo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Mincho kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dalmacio Giraldo in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arne Thornberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Derby FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eusebio Bibiano in the 54th minute. Salvador Gorbea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Berenguer, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Dalmacio Giraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Thornberg having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dalmacio Giraldo in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arne Thornberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Sportivo Quebracho FC booed when Derby FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Tello didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Sportivo Quebracho FC's Benjamin Mincho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dalmacio Giraldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmacio Giraldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Sportivo Quebracho FC's goalkeeper Arne Thornberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dalmacio Giraldo. Dalmacio Giraldo in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arne Thornberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Arne Thornberg made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Dalmacio Giraldo sent off a good shot on target. Moises Roldan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Derby FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
