Salvador Katia started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Luján's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Brion came free, but Melquiades Locaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Brion struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Melquiades Locaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paso. Salvador Katia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Sustrai having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Anier Evarado notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Luján's Melquiades Locaio. Melquiades Locaio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 24 minutes into the match, Esteban Luix sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Fabian Sustrai threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Esteban Luix this time. Gustavo Casomiro kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Salvador Katia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Brion was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anier Evarado got free with Melquiades Locaio in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56thth minute of the game Paulo Brion who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Luján's Melquiades Locaio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Luján's goalkeeper Melquiades Locaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anier Evarado. Melquiades Locaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Brion in the 59th minute of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 63rd minute, but Melquiades Locaio got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Luján hanging dry this time. Cayetano Ruy struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Fabian Sustrai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luján. 70 minutes into the match, Anier Evarado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melquiades Locaio. Luján's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anier Evarado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. A collision led to Luján getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Anselmo Chico hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the game, Anier Evarado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Melquiades Locaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Paulo Brion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th match minute, Luján was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Juvenal to maneuver through the defense. Anier Evarado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Locaio having to interfere. Sixto Mattin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Fabian Sustrai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Luján's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anier Evarado fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Paso played a much better game than Luján and deserved their victory. The Luján players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
