Leandro Bastiaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Patxi in the 4th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Los Picantes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Viator came free, but Leandro Bastiaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Romeo Galtero recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gilbert Björkkvist. Romeo Galtero showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 16th minute Teodosio Ladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Björkkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Los Picantes FC's Teodosio Ladio in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merced FC's goalie prevented a goal. Teodosio Ladio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Björkkvist having to interfere. Leandro Bastiaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Olayo in the 23rd minute of the match. Leandro Bastiaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leopoldo Patxi went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 35 minutes into the match, Merced FC's goalkeeper Gilbert Björkkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eloy Bieito. Leandro Bastiaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Viator, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Teodosio Ladio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romeo Galtero charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeo Galtero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th match minute, Los Picantes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Galtero to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guillermo Emesto made a kick off. When Merced FC's Generoso Olayo in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Picantes FC's goalie prevented a goal. 55 minutes into the game, Los Picantes FC's Teodosio Ladio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilbert Björkkvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Maximiliano Opilano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Merced FC's Leopoldo Patxi got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leopoldo Patxi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leandro Bastiaro firmly grabbed it by the left post. 70 minutes into the match, Teodosio Ladio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilbert Björkkvist. Merced FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodosio Ladio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Maximiliano Opilano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gilbert Björkkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodosio Ladio kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Maximiliano Opilano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilbert Björkkvist having to make a save. Gilbert Björkkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Bieito, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Los Picantes FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
