Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucio Ponc in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Liberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Atletico Ballester's Wilfredo Indartsu got a free kick in the 27th minute. Santos Loren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Liberto having to interfere. Wilfredo Indartsu charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilfredo Indartsu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guaberto Sengrat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adrian Fonso lost his temper 52 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 51 minutes into the game, one of Club Atlético Detonados:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 57th minute Guaberto Sengrat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Teyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Santos Loren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
