In the 17th match minute, Genna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Barea to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game, Palmitas's Serafin Gumaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciriaco Rocio went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Ciriaco Rocio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Palmitas's Rodolfo Demesio did a great save. If Valentin Gordunescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentin Gordunescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Barea kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
