The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugenio Mederi got free with Anacleto Mergildo in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rio Cuarto's Esteban Ramone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Urtungo in the 18th minute of play. Tambillos's Paolo Tajo suffered a concussion in the 21st minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Ildefonso Arias charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ildefonso Arias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Ildefonso Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anacleto Mergildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Jon in the 24th minute of the match. Anacleto Mergildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Jon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Tambillos's Anacleto Mergildo got control of the ball when Eugenio Mederi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Jon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eugenio Mederi scored 4-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anacleto Mergildo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Satordi in the 61st minute of play forced Tambillos's goalkeeper Anacleto Mergildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anacleto Mergildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Satordi, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Prudencio Weather fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tambillos's protests and gave Prudencio Weather a yellow card for diving instead. Prudencio Weather kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Christian Jon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anacleto Mergildo. Tambillos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Jon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Ildefonso Arias took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anacleto Mergildo. Anacleto Mergildo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Rio Cuarto's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
