Angelo Matia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Llorenc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Nottingham Forest F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Llorenc came free, but Angelo Matia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 played minutes Nottingham Forest F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Mannie. In the 17th minute, Claudio Berasko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciriaco Cordarrell was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Aaron Quico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Mitxaut's late challenge caught a Nottingham Forest F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Mitxaut helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Tobatirenda got a freekick which was hit by Leon Mitxaut. Godfredo Etxeberri, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ciriaco Cordarrell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hernan Paez in the 27th minute. Damian Ortzi kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Ciriaco Cordarrell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godfredo Etxeberri in the 30th minute. Aaron Quico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Angelo Matia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Tobatirenda's goalkeeper Ciriaco Cordarrell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hernan Paez. Hernan Paez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ciriaco Cordarrell made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute, one of Tobatirenda:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tobatirenda. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Nottingham Forest F.C.. Godfredo Etxeberri stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ciriaco Cordarrell. 4-0. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Rafael Llorenc sped through Nottingham Forest F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angelo Matia. Tobatirenda's Jeremias Sasoin was substituted for Iker Bibiano. A collision led to Nottingham Forest F.C. getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Gaspar Mannie hit a great ball. Angelo Matia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Llorenc, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Rafael Llorenc in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Angelo Matia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 69 minutes into the game, one of Tobatirenda:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tobatirenda's Ciriaco Cordarrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Mannie in the 74th minute of play. Ciriaco Cordarrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Etxeberri, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The supporters of Nottingham Forest F.C. booed when Tobatirenda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Llorenc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciriaco Cordarrell came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Nottingham Forest F.C.'s Hernan Paez. But to his dismay, Hernan Paez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Many of Tobatirenda's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Tobatirenda may have spent more time on the ball, but Nottingham Forest F.C. were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
