After 22 played minutes Barrio Facultad got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Claude. 29 minutes into the match, Barrio Facultad's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Gonsalvo came free, but Zbyszko Kiewra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Ermano in the 34th minute of play forced Arrutó's goalkeeper Sixto Heriberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sixto Heriberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Ermano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Barrio Facultad's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Gonsalvo came free, but Zbyszko Kiewra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Barrio Facultad's Rigoberto Rafel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sixto Heriberto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Sixto Heriberto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leopoldo Felo in the 47th minute.

Higinio Claude was shown his second yellow card after 51 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Zbyszko Kiewra acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 53rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ambrosio Leheren. 57 minutes into the game, one of Barrio Facultad:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 70 played minutes Arrutó got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Matteo. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ambrosio Leheren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arrutó's supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrosio Leheren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zbyszko Kiewra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leopoldo Felo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Heriberto having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Arrutó's Teodoro Cordarius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zbyszko Kiewra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Arrutó defense, Leopoldo Felo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sixto Heriberto. The Arrutó fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sixto Heriberto should have stopped the shot. Raul Ermano kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The supporters of Arrutó booed when Barrio Facultad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Rafel didn't get a good kick on the ball.
