The supporters of Monteverde booed when INDEPENDIENTE AVELLANEDA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Pelayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lázaro Guifre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustavo Juvenal went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Monteverde's Octavio Larpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Evis in the 10th minute of play. When Gustavo Juvenal came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Monteverde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Juvenal couldn't finish the play. Jeronimo Sein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Guifre having to interfere. When Aquiles Evis came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the INDEPENDIENTE AVELLANEDA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aquiles Evis couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute Aquiles Evis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Larpe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavio Larpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Belo in the 23rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeronimo Sein in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lázaro Guifre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lázaro Guifre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Policarpio in the 27th minute of the match. Lázaro Guifre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Sein in the 28th minute of play. With a little luck, INDEPENDIENTE AVELLANEDA's Lázaro Guifre got control of the ball when Jeronimo Sein tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute, Matias Belo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Monteverde's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Evis came free, but Octavio Larpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lázaro Guifre stood somewhat misplaced when Jeronimo Sein came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 43 minute. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Matias Belo sped through Monteverde's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Octavio Larpe. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
In the 54thth minute of the game Matias Belo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monteverde's Octavio Larpe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. INDEPENDIENTE AVELLANEDA were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Monteverde's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Braulio Pelayo took the corner. In the 57th minute, Inocencio Policarpio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Goito kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Epifanio Manny during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. During the 92nd minute of the match Humberto Goito completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Humberto Goito a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
