Racing Club 【MZ】's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. ROMAN-TICOS's Romulo Goren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Suero in the 10th minute of play. Ermegildo Milian succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Gaston Elorri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilfredo Chale's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Nicholas in the 18th minute of play forced Racing Club 【MZ】's goalkeeper Gaston Elorri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilfredo Chale might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaston Elorri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfredo Chale ran back to his position shaking his head. 21 minutes into the game, Roque Nicholas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ROMAN-TICOS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Club 【MZ】 the free kick. In the 21st match minute, ROMAN-TICOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Nicholas to maneuver through the defense. Gaston Elorri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Nicholas in the 28th minute of the match. Gaston Elorri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilfredo Chale's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 36th minute Wilfredo Chale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Elorri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Racing Club 【MZ】's Gaston Elorri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Chale in the 39th minute of play. Gaston Elorri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Chale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, ROMAN-TICOS's Roque Nicholas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaston Elorri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 47th minute, Wilfredo Chale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaston Elorri was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After the first half ROMAN-TICOS were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roque Nicholas to make the kick off. Ermegildo Milian scored 2-3 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romulo Goren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruben Criston during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute, one of ROMAN-TICOS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ROMAN-TICOS. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Racing Club 【MZ】. Froilan Kepa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Romulo Goren. 3-3. Wilfredo Chale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaston Elorri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. ROMAN-TICOS's Romulo Goren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Suero in the 71st minute of play. After 71 minutes, Tiburcio Fidele mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ROMAN-TICOS and the Racing Club 【MZ】 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, ROMAN-TICOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Fidele to maneuver through the defense. Wilfredo Chales short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Gaston Elorri to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 76 minutes, Enrique Ibañez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club 【MZ】 and the ROMAN-TICOS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of ROMAN-TICOS booed when Racing Club 【MZ】 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Ibañez didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ermegildo Milian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romulo Goren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Suero in the 82nd minute of play. Roque Nicholas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club 【MZ】's goalkeeper Gaston Elorri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute Roque Nicholas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Elorri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elpidio Suero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 101st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
