With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruben Emmanuel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Formosa FC's zone, Honorato Azibar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Elia came out of the goal and Honorato Azibar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Feliberto Astudillo sped through Formosa FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elpidio Elia. Feliberto Astudillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Elia having to interfere. Elpidio Elia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Astudillo in the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Puntanos's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Rozarius came free, but Ruben Emmanuel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximiliano Iratzeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Formosa FC's zone, Siro Gonzales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Elia came out of the goal and Siro Gonzales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Club Atletico Puntanos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Maximiliano Iratzeder fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ruben Emmanuel made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Godfredo Gipuzkoa sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

56 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Puntanos's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Karlo came free, but Ruben Emmanuel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Formosa FC's Elpidio Elia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Formosa FC from getting a goal against them. After 69 played minutes Formosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Bordat. In the 71st minute Maximiliano Iratzeder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Emmanuel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
