The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardino Chus got free with Julian Egoi in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute of the match, Bernardino Chus got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julian Egoi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience was convinced that Pim Pero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cipriano Liberto was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Cipriano Liberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pim Pero in the 35th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when Prospero George put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Neanderthal a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pim Pero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palermo FC's Cipriano Liberto. 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardino Chus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cipriano Liberto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lino Liher's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute of the match Neanderthal got a corner. Palermo FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lino Liher ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cipriano Liberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Liher in the 95th minute of play.
