Cipriano Liberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Urbez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bernardino Chus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Evelio Lonzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Guter, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Ubaldo Urbez struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Cipriano Liberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niquivil FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Guter in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evelio Lonzo saved Niquivil FC from getting behind. Evelio Lonzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Chus in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match, Mario Ferrer got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cipriano Liberto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ubaldo Urbez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Palermo FC's Horacio Urdin got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After the first half Palermo FC were leading 0-1.
