Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Palomitas's Lucio Giro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Palomitas's Higinio Mendez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafino Llin in the 5th minute of play. In the 9th minute Astor Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Mendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Mendez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Astor Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustin Nuno charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustin Nuno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Agustin Nuno hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Palomitas's zone, Manuel Bilintx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Mendez came out of the goal and Manuel Bilintx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cavalango's Serafino Llin in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palomitas's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Agustin Nuno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teo Laurgain was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Serafino Llin took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Higinio Mendez. Higinio Mendez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Agustin Nuno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafino Llin took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Higinio Mendez. Higinio Mendez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Palomitas's goalkeeper Higinio Mendez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Serafino Llin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cavalango's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafino Llin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Higinio Mendez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Astor Santana made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Agustin Nuno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palomitas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustin Nuno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Serafino Llin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Santana in the 65th minute of play forced Palomitas's goalkeeper Higinio Mendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Higinio Mendez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Santana in the 67th minute of play. Astor Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Higinio Mendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Serafino Llin came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Cavalango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafino Llin couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucio Giro in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teo Laurgain prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manuel Bilintx kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Adrian Gonzalez was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Lucio Giro sped through Cavalango's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Teo Laurgain. Palomitas's Higinio Mendez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Santana in the 89th minute of play.
