The referee showed Jesus Santana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sesteadero AFC's Jesus Santana got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 11th minute, Eustaquio Procopio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Cochagual FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Procopio came free, but Freddy Matai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eustaquio Procopio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Claude in the 18th minute of play forced Sesteadero AFC's goalkeeper Arsenio Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gervasio Palos in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddy Matai saved Cochagual FC from getting behind. Cochagual FC's Freddy Matai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Procopio in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Gervasio Palos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sesteadero AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervasio Palos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gervasio Palos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eustaquio Procopio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Matai having to interfere. Nereo Bazkoare hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Cochagual FC's Felipe Claude dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 48th minute, Gervasio Palos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Freddy Matai was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Eustaquio Procopio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 played minutes Sesteadero AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Santana. Arsenio Furtado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Favila's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. A collision led to Cochagual FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Nereo Bazkoare hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Eustaquio Procopio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddy Matai was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Favila in the 84th minute of play forced Sesteadero AFC's goalkeeper Arsenio Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Cochagual FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Eleuterio Illart hit a great ball. Eustaquio Procopio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Matai having to interfere. 89 minutes in the game, Gervasio Palos fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Freddy Matai having to interfere. If Gervasio Palos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesus Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
