Nunez Dalmau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliano Isias having to interfere. 7 minutes into the game, Amadeo Ler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tortugas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jumeal the free kick. The supporters of Jumeal booed when Tortugas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Ler didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Martin Lizar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ramiro Hanot, 1-0. Ramiro Hanot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Gaskon in the 15th minute of play. Aureliano Isias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Dalmau in the 18th minute of play. Nunez Dalmau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Palban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliano Isias having to interfere. Martin Lizar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Hanot having to interfere. After 26 minutes, Placido Haritz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tortugas and the Jumeal players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Tortugas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Placido Haritz to maneuver through the defense. Domingo Basualdo kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Ramiro Hanot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Gaskon in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 33 minutes, Nunez Dalmau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tortugas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nunez Dalmau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nunez Dalmau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domingo Basualdo during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute Jumeal were awarded a corner. Eusebio Mancio went to the cornerflag to take it. Jumeal's Albano Horado was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ramiro Hanot in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nereo Gaskon was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Jumeal's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Dalmau came free, but Aureliano Isias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Tortugas's Reynaldo Palban sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aureliano Isias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Jumeal's Aureliano Isias got control of the ball when Reynaldo Palban tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Tortugas's goal looked a bit too open when Nereo Gaskon came free, but Ramiro Hanot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nereo Gaskon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ramiro Hanot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Martin Lizar notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Tortugas's Ramiro Hanot. Ramiro Hanot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Tortugas's zone, Martin Lizar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Hanot came out of the goal and Martin Lizar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Jumeal's Aureliano Isias got control of the ball when Reynaldo Palban tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Lizar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Reynaldo Palban came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Tortugas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Palban couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Tortugas's Nunez Dalmau ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aureliano Isias. Aureliano Isias yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
