If Nestor Gonsalve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Felix Larpe from long distance, 15 minutes into the match, got Cecilio Servando's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 21 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Esquina's Teobaldo Vasco fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Nestor Gonsalve struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Vicente Pagomari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esquina. In the 24thth minute of the game Teobaldo Vasco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arbolito's Vicente Pagomari was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cecilio Servando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Quin in the 30th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Eustaquio Timo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardino Quin to strike the kick off in the second half. Eustaquio Timo might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cecilio Servando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eustaquio Timo ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Arbolito booed when Esquina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Corderun didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Eustaquio Timo got free in front of the goal in the 60th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Arbolito's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustaquio Timo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cecilio Servando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Nestor Gonsalve made a precise shot to the right of Vicente Pagomari. Arbolito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 89 played minutes Arbolito got a freekick which was hit by Adan Escobar. Cecilio Servando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Timo in the 93rd minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Arbolito's corner Nereo Markel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cecilio Servando quite easily take care of the ball. Eustaquio Timo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Servando having to interfere. Benicio Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benicio Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Arbolito booed when Esquina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benicio Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 99 minutes into the match, Esquina's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Milio came free, but Cecilio Servando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eustaquio Timo came up free with the goalie in the 101st minute, the Arbolito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eustaquio Timo couldn't finish the play.
