The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Placido Kelemens short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Edelmiro Raymundo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Placido Kelemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Raymundo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Lorien in the 18th minute of play forced Velez Club's goalkeeper Lorenzo Rencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Placido Kelemen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roldán FC's Edelmiro Raymundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Gotzon in the 24th minute of play. With his leg Edelmiro Raymundo managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Velez Club's Placido Kelemen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Amado Roldan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Roldán FC's Edelmiro Raymundo got control of the ball when Placido Kelemen tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Gogo Onbera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lorenzo Rencio. Velez Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gogo Onbera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 41 minutes into the match, Roldán FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Gotzon came free, but Edelmiro Raymundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Placido Kelemen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Edelmiro Raymundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Placido Kelemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 48 minutes Roldán FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Humberto Hernando who took care of the corner kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Placido Kelemen to strike the kick off in the second half. Edelmiro Raymundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Quin, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Placido Kelemen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amado Roldan struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Edelmiro Raymundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez Club. When Placido Kelemen came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Velez Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Kelemen couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the game, Velez Club's Amado Roldan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edelmiro Raymundo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Placido Kelemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Raymundo having to interfere. After 71 minutes, Gogo Onbera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roldán FC and the Velez Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Celestino Lorien kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celestino Lorien got free with Lorenzo Rencio in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Roldán FC's Lorenzo Rencio threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Geronimo Gabon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ciriaco Gotzon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Erauso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lorenzo Rencio. Velez Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Amado Roldan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velez Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Amado Roldan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edelmiro Raymundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute Placido Kelemen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Raymundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Placido Kelemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Raymundo having to interfere. Gogo Onbera hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Velez Club were the better team. Velez Club's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
