Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luciano Oriol kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Rivadavia booed when Tocol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silverio Liher didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Prudencio Santiago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erubiel Balasi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Luciano Oriol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Artemio Jon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Rivadavia's Erubiel Balasi got control of the ball when Prudencio Santiago tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tocol! Hipolito Castel hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Gerardo Sadurni was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rivadavia's Niceto Eutropio got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Niceto Eutropio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rivadavia's Niceto Eutropio got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domingo Olo hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. In the 50thth minute of the game Alfredo Xabel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tocol's Narciso Baristo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niceto Eutropio made a kick off. Prudencio Santiago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tocol's Prudencio Santiago got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Prudencio Santiago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Erubiel Balasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narciso Baristo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Eutropio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tocol's Prudencio Santiago got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Xabel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Narciso Baristo made a huge save. Tocol's Luciano Oriol got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Luciano Oriol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erubiel Balasi was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. If Luciano Oriol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Niceto Eutropio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rivadavia's supporters rose to their feet, but Niceto Eutropio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narciso Baristo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tocol's goalkeeper Narciso Baristo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Rivadavia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rivadavia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
