When Dalmacio Rameriz fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huasayacu's protests and gave Dalmacio Rameriz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Huasayacu's Dalmacio Rameriz got a free kick in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Hualjaina AFC's Blas Gonzales broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Justino Chuse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustavo Ellande went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Andres Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justino Chuse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Laffitte, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Blas Gonzales charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blas Gonzales the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Epifanio Lixandro kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Huasayacu's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Laffitte came free, but Justino Chuse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Ponciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Jago in the 33rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres Godoy got free with Edgard Ponciano in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute, one of Hualjaina AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hualjaina AFC. Victoriano Silban placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 45th match minute, Hualjaina AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blas Gonzales to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fulgencio Laffitte was the one to do the kick off. Edgard Ponciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Jago, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Hualjaina AFC's Gustavo Ellande got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Justino Chuse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Laffitte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hualjaina AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! Everardo Oidor hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Severino Jago struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Edgard Ponciano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huasayacu. Severino Jago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severino Jago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgard Ponciano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Huasayacu had won after a very even match.
