The audience thought a goal was coming when Eloy Frutos got free with Wilfredo Erasto in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eulalio Haritz charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eulalio Haritz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eulalio Haritz kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Eulalio Haritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Erasto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes in the game, Eloy Frutos fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Wilfredo Erasto having to interfere. Eulalio Haritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Genaro Cristos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Yariguarenda's Natalio Loi got a free kick in the 20th minute. Genaro Cristos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Amado Paez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amado Paez came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Cienaguita FC's Segundo Teodor. But to his dismay, Segundo Teodor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Eulalio Haritz succeeded in the game's 30th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Cienaguita FC's Wilfredo Erasto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Cienaguita FC from getting a goal against them. Eulalio Haritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Teofilo Cugat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Segundo Teodor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Paez having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Amado Paez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Yariguarenda's Amado Paez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Cugat in the 60th minute of play. Segundo Teodor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Amado Paez made a huge save. In the 68th minute, Domingos Mirande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eloy Frutos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Erasto having to interfere. In the 76th minute Eloy Frutos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Erasto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 97 minutes, Natalio Loi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yariguarenda and the Cienaguita FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Natalio Loi kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Cienaguita FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
