In the 5th minute, Maarek Ojakäär reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Enrique Servando. The goal made the score 1-0. Marcelo Cordeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo Cordeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Marcelo Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute Maarek Ojakäär shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Servando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 14 in the game by Maarek Ojakäär from a close distance when the talented Enrique Servando managed to make a qualified save. Caitaco's players were relieved. In the 15th match minute, Salto AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Chano to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Maarek Ojakäär managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salto AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maarek Ojakäär was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Servando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Caitaco's Enrique Servando got control of the ball when Elvio James tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcelo Cordeiro got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 32nd minute, Marcelo Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristobal Chabier took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nunez Etxeberri. Salto AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Caitaco's Enrique Servando got control of the ball when Elvio James tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Maarek Ojakäär had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th match minute, Caitaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Tino to maneuver through the defense.

Maarek Ojakäär sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 3-0 became the score in the 58th minute when Maarek Ojakäär elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 65 minutes of play, Salto AFC's Elvio James made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enrique Servando was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Salto AFC booed when Caitaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Gorka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Servando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvio James in the 71st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maarek Ojakäär in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Servando saved Caitaco from getting behind. After 74 played minutes Caitaco got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Gorka. Caitaco's Enrique Servando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maarek Ojakäär in the 76th minute of play. The Caitaco fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Caitaco's Jonas Escobar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Guillermo Tino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nunez Etxeberri came out and tried to block the shot, but Guillermo Tino slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 89th minute. After 91 minutes, Jonas Escobar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caitaco and the Salto AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Salto AFC's Filomeno Tono was substituted for Omar Lia. After 92 played minutes Caitaco got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Escobar. Enrique Servando stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maarek Ojakäär's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Jonas Escobar was shown his second yellow card after 98 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Caitaco getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Jonas Escobar hit a great ball. Salto AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
