Anier Obeko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Niva in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Leonides Chico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Desiderio Niva struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Anier Obeko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DIO. Leonides Chico hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Gogo Palban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Obeko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Desiderio Niva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DIO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 35th minute, Epifanio Berdaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the match, Girardet AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Desiderio Niva came free, but Anier Obeko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Girardet AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Berdaitz to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ciro Frans made a kick off. Vladimiro Guillen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Lartaun in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, DIO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Eskuin to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th match minute, Girardet AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Chico to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Palban in the 59th minute of play forced Girardet AFC's goalkeeper Anier Obeko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anier Obeko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Palban in the 62nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Girardet AFC's zone, Modesto Eskuin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Obeko came out of the goal and Modesto Eskuin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gogo Palban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Jairo Lartaun sped through DIO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vladimiro Guillen. Anier Obeko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Palban in the 74th minute of the match. The supporters of DIO booed when Girardet AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Nerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to DIO getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Desiderio Niva hit a great ball. Gogo Palban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Girardet AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Gogo Palban scored to the left of an out of position Anier Obeko, making the score, 1-2.
