Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Caraguatay booed when Lafontaine AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Nafarroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Firmin scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alejandro Vitin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Caraguatay's Zeledon Lauro got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Caraguatay's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Txatxu came free, but Melchor Osoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melchor Osoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Txatxu in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Caraguatay's goalkeeper Melchor Osoro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Palban. Mateo Rufio kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Carolo Txatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melchor Osoro made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Tomas Palban sent off a good shot on target. Damian Firmin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Alejandro Vitin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Zeledon Lauro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caraguatay's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Lauro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Vitin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Caraguatay were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damian Firmin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Carolo Txatxu put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Melchor Osoro. If Tomas Palban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melchor Osoro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carolo Txatxu's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. When Tomas Palban came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Lafontaine AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Palban couldn't finish the play. In the 71st match minute, Caraguatay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Rufio to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carolo Txatxu in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melchor Osoro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caraguatay's Melchor Osoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Palban in the 76th minute of play. After some careless play in the Caraguatay defense, Tomas Palban kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melchor Osoro. The Caraguatay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melchor Osoro should have stopped the shot. Alejandro Vitin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Firmin in the 90th minute of play. Lafontaine AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
