The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Monico got free with Edelmiro Sedeni in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 0-3 became the score in the 24th minute when Niceto Policarpio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 27thth minute of the game Niceto Policarpio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Isidoro Majluf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adan Afonso might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edelmiro Sedeni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adan Afonso ran back to his position shaking his head.
