Anselmo Luzaide's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erubiel Cordeal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruperto Abascal got free with Teodoro Domiku in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruperto Abascal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Xl Team's Ruperto Abascal made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Domiku was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to River Plate F.C getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Rodrigo Mancio hit a great ball. Christian Ciano charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Xl Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erubiel Cordeal should have stopped the shot. When Froilan Eskuin came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the River Plate F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Froilan Eskuin couldn't finish the play. Teodoro Domiku was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
