CA ARDILOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Omero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 5 played minutes CA ARDILOS got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Harkaitz. If Anselmo Luzaide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the CA ARDILOS defense, Cornelio Iratxo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teofilo Anaya. The CA ARDILOS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teofilo Anaya should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 14 in the game by Anselmo Luzaide from a close distance when the talented Teofilo Anaya managed to make a qualified save. CA ARDILOS's players were relieved. Anselmo Luzaide didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-0 via right post in the game's 15th minute. River Plate F.C's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 23rd minute, Anselmo Luzaide got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, CA ARDILOS's Victorio Harkaitz got a free kick in the 25th minute. Teofilo Anaya stood somewhat misplaced when Anselmo Luzaide came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 26 minute. Anselmo Luzaide blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teofilo Anaya having to make a save. CA ARDILOS's Teofilo Anaya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save CA ARDILOS from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, River Plate F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Abeijon came free, but Teodoro Domiku reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anselmo Luzaide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Teofilo Anaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christian Emesto made a kick off. Teodoro Domiku made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Ignacio Abeijon sent off a good shot on target. Teofilo Anaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Luzaide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Roman Belo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute Anselmo Luzaide shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Anaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignacio Abeijon got free with Teodoro Domiku in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teofilo Anaya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelio Iratxo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, River Plate F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Emesto came free, but Teodoro Domiku reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Luzaide in the 87th minute of play forced CA ARDILOS's goalkeeper Teofilo Anaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, River Plate F.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ignacio Abeijon fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 95 minutes into the game, Anselmo Luzaide cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Teofilo Anaya was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. River Plate F.C's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
