Julio Odilon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Fertus in the 6th minute of play. When Florentino Savier fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guayamba AFC's protests and gave Florentino Savier a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Guayamba AFC's Florentino Savier got a free kick in the 16th minute. After a good free kick, Florentino Lauro got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for Calderilla. Jano Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Lauro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jano Prestes made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Baltasar Elija sent off a good shot on target. Pastor Beremundo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes, Calderilla's Damaso Garci shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Odilon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Calderilla reached it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florentino Lauro was the one to do the kick off. Guayamba AFC were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Calderilla's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anibal Amor took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Calderilla's goalie and right to Ceferino Oliverios. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Calderilla's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 55 minutes into the match, Calderilla's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Lauro came free, but Jano Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Baltasar Elija had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jano Prestes. Calderilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baltasar Elija was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Calderilla's Jano Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Lauro in the 68th minute of play. The Guayamba AFC fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Guayamba AFC's Florentino Lauro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 81st minute Florentino Lauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jano Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florentino Lauro in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jano Prestes saved Calderilla from getting behind. Santos Fertus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Julio Odilon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Odilon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Fertus in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Guayamba AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Gaueko to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Iker Eron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Calderilla's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Guayamba AFC had won, even though Calderilla had held more of the ball.
