With his leg Jimeno Ler managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Atlético Mermoz's Aaron Ritchie fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 44 minutes, Aaron Ritchie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Mermoz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaron Ritchie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Barbosa in the 47th minute of play forced Juventus Football Club's goalkeeper Jimeno Ler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Rolando Mercurio's late challenge caught a Juventus Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolando Mercurio helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Orte in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimeno Ler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 92 minutes into the match, Juventus Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Ritchie came free, but Jimeno Ler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Aaron Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atlético Mermoz walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
