The supporters of Persos United booed when PALESTINA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Santio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute Cesar Mel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Ioritz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Umbruso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Cresitobalo having to interfere. PALESTINA's Nicasio Estebano got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Nicasio Estebano managed to get in a good position for a shot. PALESTINA's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicasio Estebano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albino Cresitobalo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Montrel in the 48th minute of play forced Persos United's goalkeeper Albino Cresitobalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Zeledon Ferrer made the kick off in the second half.
