The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Bartuelo got free with Mauricio Steven in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute of the match S.S.C. Napoli got a corner. Pilciao's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Diego Bartuelo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bath Peach was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Bartuelo in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauricio Steven prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mauricio Steven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alto Obeso, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the game, S.S.C. Napoli's Bath Peach nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauricio Steven made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. A collision led to S.S.C. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
