Chacarita jrs's Celestino Vergaray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Luken in the 3rd minute of play. Leo Gitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Gilesindo got free with Celestino Vergaray in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fidel Rufo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Leonardo Hartz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leo Gitano's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. The supporters of Brea booed when Chacarita jrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Arano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabricio Arano charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leo Gitano was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Brea getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Enrique Pacho hit a great ball. If Leo Gitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Brea's zone, Leo Gitano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Hartz came out of the goal and Leo Gitano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Chacarita jrs's Leo Gitano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leonardo Hartz. That made the score 1-2 after 58 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Brea's Aristides Luken got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Artemio Caradaro kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute Leo Gitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Hartz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Casomiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Leonardo Hartz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Gitano in the 69th minute of play forced Brea's goalkeeper Leonardo Hartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Fabricio Arano put in a rough tackle. 73 minutes into the game, one of Chacarita jrs:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Aristides Luken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
