Sangrion FC's Niceto Urtungo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Korneliusz Wawak in the 17th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Preston North End got a freekick which was hit by Miloš Soboňa. A collision led to Sangrion FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Damian Abeijon hit a great ball. Niceto Urtungo had in the 24thth minute some difficulties stopping Vicente Monclús's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 65th minute, Mauricio Ugaitz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Niceto Urtungo, passed just outside the right post. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Vicente Monclús got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Korneliusz Wawak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Niceto Urtungo made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Vicente Monclús managed to get in a good position for a shot. Preston North End's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Monclús was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niceto Urtungo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 73 minutes, Moises Confesor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sangrion FC and the Preston North End players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sangrion FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. When the final whistle sounded Preston North End left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sangrion FC.
